Gold-plated little box

If you wish to give a glamorous look to a simple cardboard box, cover it with gold leaves and an ornament printed napkin.

We used for the box in the picture:

- oval cardboard box
- white acrylic paint
- Easy metal leaves in gold
- glue for metal leaves
- varnish for leaf metal (water-based)
- a decorative napkin
- glue for napkin technique
- glitter gold glue or glitter gold liner
- finishing gloss varnish

1 Paint the sides of the box with white acrylic paint. Leave it to dry.
2 In the meantime, glue the lid using the glue for metal leaves. Leave it to dry for 15 minutes.
3 Place metal leaves on the glue and brush off the excess. To protect it polish it with varnish for leaf metal.

4 Glue the sides using the glue for napkin technique. Remove all the napkin layers except the printed one which you then carefully place on the box. Use soft brush to remove air bubbles.
5 When the napkin is dry, coat it with "Triple thick" gloss varnish or Marabu high-gloss varnish.
6 At the end add relief shiny ornaments in accordance with the motifs on the napkin.
