Forest wreath

If you want traditional advent decorations take what our fields and forests offer.

Make an advent wreath with moss, forest plants or a log, decorated with candles. Every plant in the wreath has its meaning: bayleaf stands for victory over sin and suffering, cedar for power, moss immortality while mistletoe reminds us of Jesus thorn wreath. You won't make a mistake adding a twig of rosemary because a legend says that it protected Virgin Mary on her trip to Egypt.

Tools:
- a polystyrene ring (25 cm)
- green silk paper (flowery)
- a packet of moss
- ivy or pine twigs
- 4 candles and 4 candle holders
- forest decorations (horse chestnut, pine cones, mushrooms...)
- thin wire

1 Use a sharp scalpel to cut the polystyrene in half to get a flat ring.
2 Wrap it in green silk paper.
3 Glue the moss.

4 Wrap the candle holder with a twig or berries, or with a pine twig. Place the candle holders on the wreath first since it will not only fix the moss but will help you about the right order.
5 Fix the pine cone with the thin wire threading it between "the leaves" and wrap it around the wreath.
6 Fix the rest of the decorations, whether they are real or made of polystyrene, with pins or glue pistol.
