From deco liner to vintage decoration

Elegant gold-plated decorations for Christmas atmosphere.

Deco liner, glue for gold-plated decorations, comes in a form of a felt-tip pen which enables you to add fine gold contours on baubles, greeting cards, plates or boxes.
Here are a few ideas!

Material and tools:
- a red greeting card with envelope
- a cardboard or wooden box
- metal leaves in gold shades
- glue for leaves in felt-tip pen
- thin black ink
- protective varnish

The making of a greeting card:

1 Draw a motif on a greeting card using an ordinary pencil. Use Deco Leaf primer - glue for leaves in the felt-tip pen - to draw lines where you want to use gold-plated elements. The glue leaves a yellow trace but it soon changes into a translucent one!
2 20 minutes later spreed metal gold leaves. Use a soft brush to remove extra leaves - only the contours will be left.
3 To add a very elegant touch, use thin black ink to draw additional curves.

The making of a box:
1 Paint the lid of a box first with red Decorlack and then with black draw a contour of a pine tree and a few curves to get an effective vintage combination ready for gold-plated details.
2 The rest of the making is the same as with the greeting card. Use Deco liner to draw lines which will be gold-plated, and 20 minutes later spread metal gold leaves. Fine details are added with very thin black ink.
3 To achieve a more robust box, 24 hours later cover the box with protective varnish, a special shine for gold-plated decorations.
