Crackle effects
Try Hobby Line Crackle Medium for creating antique effects.
Antique effects on terracotta pots, vases, wooden trays, wooden boxes or picture frames can be easily achieved using water-based Hobby Line Crackle Medium.
1 Base Coat
Apply the base coat of Hobby Line Acrylic Matt Paint to the object. This color will show through the cracks later.
2 Crackle
Apply the Hobby Line Crackle Medium onto the dry paint in one direction only and let it dry.
3 Paint
Now apply the second coat of Acrylic Matt Paint – not too thick and in one direction only. Apply the paint completely over the other coat. The thinner this second coat, the finer the cracks.
