Beach kimono in batik look with Marabu Easy Color!

Summer, sun, beach! Perfect for a visit to the beach is a light kimono, which can be quickly pulled over. And it doesn't have to be expensive. A simple kimono is quickly batiked with Marabu Easy Color and thus becomes an indispensable beach companion.

How it is done:

1 Before dyeing, the kimono should first be washed without fabric softener to remove the finish. Allow the kimono to dry and then crumple it up.

2 Tie tightly with the string.

3 Then pour boiling water into the large bowl and add Easy Color and a little salt. The quantity ratio should be observed: For an intense coloration for 150 g of fabric use about 3-5 liters of water. For every 1 liter of water, 1 tablespoon of salt should also be added. The tied kimono is first moistened a little and then placed in the dye bath. The fabric should remain in the dye bath for min. 20 minutes and be moved constantly.

4 After 20 minutes, remove the kimono from the dye bath and rinse under running water until the water remains clear. Then remove the yarn and let dry.

Tip: Always wash textiles dyed with Easy Color separately by hand with color-preserving mild detergent at max. 30° C. Frequent washing leads to a decrease in color intensity. Fixing agent improves the washability, but does not guarantee absolute wash fastness.
